Most of these songs were written over afternoons in the Williamsburg railroad apartment (exactly 17 steps from the Polish bakery and endless drip coffee) and select evenings at The Westbury , 18th floor, 15th and Spruce, southern view, rented from a traveling English literature professor on sabbatical in Bangalore.
